The current government initiates to shift in electronic health care documentation. At present nursing informatics plays an essential involvement in our society because of its mounting demand. Nursing informatics aims to reduce errors while enhancing patient care. It bridges gaps between patients and increase understanding of the nurse’s role. There is great opportunity for advancement in the field of nursing informatics. For those individuals with the desire to advance, there are manager of informatics, director of informatics, and even CIO of informatics opportunities available. Continuing to stay on top of current happenings in the field and gaining further education and training will help prepare one for advancement. Nursing informatics have high wage salary. It is a very lucrative profession that pays far above average. I believe that nursing informatics gives a greater opportunity in rendering care to our patients and a great help to lessen workload among nurses.
